Flu Vaccination

Flu vaccination provides the best protection against an unpredictable virus which infects many people and can cause serious illness and death each year. This year, more than ever, with COVID-19 still circulating, we need to ensure that our patients are as protected as possible against flu.

The vaccination is free and recommended yearly for those most at risk from flu

We would like to invite you to book an appointment to attend one of the clinics below. We encourage our patients to be vaccinated as early as possible while stock of vaccine is available

Location:

All our flu clinics this year will be structured to allow us to operate a socially-distanced system to keep our patients and staff safe.

These will take place at Brookfields surgery, with the exception of Tuesday 26 October's clinic, which will be held at Cherry Hinton surgery instead.

Please be aware we will only be allowing a fixed number of people in the building at one time, so any queuing will be outside the building. To avoid this, please do not arrive early for your appointment.

If you have ever had a reaction immediately after having a flu vaccine or have an egg allergy, please inform us when you book your appointment.

Housebound Patients:

District Nurses have been informed of who our housebound patients are. As a guide, only those who received their COVID vaccine at home will be visited for their flu vaccine.

If you do not want a flu vaccine:

Please telephone us to let us know (and we will record this in your record so we do not keep inviting you for this flu season). You can change your mind at any time.
